6 eggs this morning equalling last years total.

The Great Tit arrived back in the nest box before 6pm and hasn’t left since.  Another egg or has hatching started in earnest?

The eggs have been left uncovered for much of the day and around 6pm the Great Tit returned to the nest box.

By 6:30 this morning the Great Tit had laid 4 eggs.

Rearranging the nest bedding revealed three eggs at 5pm

Late afternoon the Great Tit rearranged the bedding and two eggs became visible.

So our Great Tit spent a lot of time this morning re-arranging the nest material leaving us wondering how many eggs there are now.

First egg in the nest box this morning – laid between 11:30pm and 6:00am. Picture quality is slightly fuzzy due to outside mist.
